My name is Garnet. I am a mother, a wife, a lover of cats, a nerd/geek, and a survivor of several mental illnesses, not the least of which being Bipolar Disorder, the others I am sure I will divulge at a later date. I am known among friends and family as the Crazy (or Bipolar) Cat Lady with Nerdy Mom Powers.

I began my internet endeavors with Facebook. My goal there is to be myself while giving others a reason to laugh. My goal here is somewhat the same though I will also be using this blog in an effort to keep my mental illnesses at a manageable level.

There may be some laughter, there may be some tears, there may even be a wholly unintelligible rant or twenty. I fervently hope that the laughter will be more prominent then the rest.

I open myself to you all in an effort not only to help myself but to maybe, somehow show others a healthy outlet for themselves as well. I guess we’ll see how it goes as I embark upon this new journey…with, or without, my readers.
